An Economic Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce were merging, and came to us to brand the new organization. At first this project didn’t sound like the most exciting rebrand we’ve come across. Then we started with their team and found a considerable challenge from the group’s CEO, Brad Schneider:
“The greatest way to fail at this is to produce something pedestrian. We want unusual and unexpected.”
Unexpected? For a Chamber of Commerce and EDC? The challenge arose.
We kicked this branding project off with our discovery process, and talked to everyone involved in the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Kentucky Forward (the EDC), people who worked with either and anyone else who would take our call in the Kentucky counties Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster. By truly getting to know our target audience, we are able to create branding and messaging that resonates.
Our team came up with several options and presented to the client. 20 minutes later, the organization had a new name – “Kyndle.” They are also moving forward with the tagline, “Sparking Success. Igniting Opportunity.”
Kyndle’s CEO asked us to document our naming process for a video announcement of the new organization and its brand. The attached video debuted on a regional news station as a part of a half hour presentation, explaining Kyndle’s mission and new brand.
We will continue to work with the Kyndle organization for marketing efforts and public relations strategy. The organization’s goal of generating wealth and opportunity for the people of the region is now ours as well. We hope to help Kyndle’s success spread like wildfire as they give their home a future footed in well-established industries, a diversified economy and community engagement.
